Richard Whitehead a native of Western Massachusetts, gained his high school diploma from East Longmeadow High School in 1987. He earned his B.S. in Health Sciences from Springfield College. He graduated cum laude in 1999.

Richard has been certified as a Physician Assistant since 1999 and is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Liver Foundation (ALF) and the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA). Richard has privileges at Middlesex Memorial Hospital.

Richard’s professional interests include Hepatitis C, GERD, inflammatory bowel disease and functional bowel disorders.

Richard is married and the proud father of two boys.
