Dr. Nadeem Hussain practices gastroenterology and has a special interest in inherited diseases of the GI tract (genetic disorders), GI oncology (staging, treatment, and diagnosis), obesity & nutrition, liver diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, with special expertise in endo ultrasonography (EUS) along with video capsule endoscopy (VCE) and motility evaluation of the GI tract.
His medical school training was at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He developed his specialty skills at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
His initial clinical experience was within the US Air Force, and he’s been practicing at Middlesex Gastroenterology Associates since 2005. He has been a Middlesex Health Corporator since 2024. He has been the Director of the Center for Digestive Health at Middlesex Health since 2020, and he has been the Associate Director of the Middlesex Endoscopy Center since 2024. He has been the Director of Quality at the Middlesex Endoscopy Center since 2016. He’s published articles in several peer-reviewed journals and local newsletters. He enjoys outdoor activities, including biking and hiking. He lives in Haddam, CT.
