What you need to pick up/purchase:

• Pick up your prescription from your pharmacy.
• Simethicone Soft-gel tablets 180mg (ex, Gas-X, Phazyme, Mylicon). These are available for purchase over the counter at any pharmacy.
• Clear Liquid Suggestions:
  • Popsicles (not red or purple)
  • Clear broth or bouillon
  • Black coffee and/or tea (no cream, milk, or non-dairy creamer)
  • Clear juice with no pulp (apple, white grape, and lemonade). Do not have orange juice
  • Jell-O (lemon, lime, or orange flavor)
  • Gatorade and/or Powerade (clear, green, or yellow)
  • Soda (Sprite, Ginger Ale, 7-Up, cola)

The Day Before Your Procedure:

1. Clear liquid diet all day. DO NOT have any alcohol, dairy products, solids, or anything with red or purple dyes. Drinking plenty of clear liquids throughout the day is very important.
2. At 4:00 pm:
   • Take 2 Simethicone Soft-Gel tablets
   • Empty 1 Pouch A & 1 Pouch B into a disposable container
   • Add lukewarm water to the top line in the container. Mix to dissolve. (You can mix the solution and place it in the fridge, if you prefer.)
   • The container has 4 marks. Drink down to each line every 15 minutes until complete.
   • Continue to drink clear liquids for the remainder of the evening.

The Day of Your Procedure:

1. Continue a clear liquid diet.
2. 6 hours before your arrival time, take 2 Simethicone soft-gel tablets and mix the last pouches A & B into the container with lukewarm water up to the top line in the container. (You can do this before you go to bed the night before the procedure.)
3. Drink down to each line every 15 minutes until complete

**DO NOT have anything by mouth 4 hours before your arrival time.**
