Clenpiq® Prep Instructions

*** Follow the Prep Instructions Below and Not The Instructions On The Box ***

 

What you need to pick up/purchase:

• Pick up your prescription from your pharmacy.
• Simethicone 180mg Soft Gel tablets (ex: Gas-X, Phazyme, Mylicon). Purchased over the counter at any pharmacy.
• Clear Liquid Suggestions:
  • Popsicles (not red or purple)
  • Clear broth or bouillon
  • Black coffee and/or tea (no cream, milk, or non-dairy creamer)
  • Clear juice with no pulp (apple, white grape, and lemonade). Do not have orange juice
  • Jell-O (lemon, lime, or orange flavor)
  • Gatorade and/or Powerade (clear, green, or yellow)
  • Soda (Sprite, Ginger Ale, 7-Up, cola)

The Day Before Your Procedure:

Follow a clear liquid diet all day. DO NOT have any alcohol, dairy products, solids and nothing with red or purple dyes. It is very important to drink plenty of clear liquids throughout the entire day.

1. At 4:00 pm – Take 2 Simethicone 180mg Soft-gel tablets.
   1. Drink 1 entire bottle of Clenpiq Prep Solution from the bottle. Over the next couple hours follow it with at least 40 ounces of clear liquids of your choice.
   2. Continue clear liquids fort he remainder of the evening. Since it is less in prep solution, you want to increase clear liquids to assure you have a clear prep.

The Day of Your Procedure:

1. Continue Clear Liquid Diet
2. 6 hours prior to arrival, take 2 Simethicone 180mg Soft-gel tablets and then drink the second bottle of Clenpiq Prep Solution.
3. Follow with at least 40 ounces of clear liquids of your choice within an hour and continue clear liquids up to 4 hours prior to your procedure.

 

**DO NOT have anything by mouth 4 hours before your arrival time.**
