What you need to pick up/purchase:

  • Plenvu Prescription – Our office will send to your pharmacy, please pick up within 1 week.
  • Simethicone 180mg Soft-Gel tablets – Over The Counter
    • Examples: Gas-X, Phazyme, Mylicon
  • Clear Liquid Suggestions:
    • Popsicles (not red or purple)
    • Clear broth or bouillon
    • Black coffee and/or tea (no cream, milk, or non-dairy creamer)
    • Clear juice with no pulp (apple, white grape, and lemonade). Do not have orange juice
    • Jell-O (lemon, lime, or orange flavor)
    • Gatorade and/or Powerade (clear, green, or yellow)
    • Soda (Sprite, Ginger Ale, 7-Up, cola)

The Day Before Your Procedure:

Follow a clear liquid diet all day. DO NOT have any alcohol, dairy products, solids, or anything with red or purple dyes. It’s essential to drink plenty of clear liquids throughout the entire day.

  1. At 4:00 pm, take 2 Simethicone 180mg Soft-Gel tablets and then begin your prep.
  2. Pour 1 six-ounce bottle of prep into the mixing container and add cool drinking water to the 16-ounce line on the container and mix thoroughly. Be sure the prep is diluted before drinking.
  3. Drink all the liquid in the container.
  4. Over the next hour, drink at least 32 ounces of clear liquids

The Day of Your Procedure:

  1. Continue a clear liquid diet.
  2. 6 hours before arrival time, take 2 Simethicone Soft-Gel tablets and begin the second portion of the prep.
  3. Continue clear liquids up to 4 hours before your arrival time.

 

**DO NOT have anything by mouth 4 hours before your arrival time.**
