Following completion of his fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. O’Connor joined Middlesex Gastroenterology Associates in August 2014.
He received his undergraduate degree from Boston College and his medical degree from St. George’s University Medical School in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his Residency and Chief Residency at Norwalk Hospital, CT and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
He is currently a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Gastroenterological Association. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
Along with general gastroenterology and hepatology he was trained in advanced techniques such as endosonography, radiofrequency ablation, endoscopic mucosal resection and small bowel capsule endoscopy. He also has specific interests in inflammatory bowel disease, GI cancer staging, and fecal microbiota transplantation.
